IGNACIO MONTERRUBIO is born in Miranda de Ebro, in 1976. It studies piano, musicology, pedagogy of music and composition in the conservatories of music of Vitoria and San Sebastian, and Musicoteraphy in the School "Music, Art and Process" of Vitoria, specializing later in Electroacoustic Music (Max/MSP programming) in the Conservatory of Music of Bordeaux (France), with professors Christian Eloy and Christophe Havel.

From course 2001-2002, and to the present time, it directs to the Project of Educative Innovation "Study of the Interaction of the Sonorous Elements and of Movement" in the Municipal Conservatory of Dance "Jose Uruñuela", investigation subsidized by the Dpt. de Education of the Basque Government and the Dpt. de Cultura of the City council of Vitoria-Gasteiz.

As of 2002 it comprises of ESPACIO SINKRO of Vitoria, being one of his people in charge in the software and sonorous diffusion of his concerts of electroacoustic music. Also, 2002 in the organization of the SINKRO FESTIVAL collaborates from the year, International Days of Music Electroacoustic de Vitoria-Gasteiz.

In February of 2004 educative software titled "Más/2 sound-pedagogic installation ", project- order of the Conservatory of Music "Jesus Guridi" of Vitoria, in the occasion of the tenth Days of Electroacoustic Music.

As sonorous artist composes diverse works within the sort of electroacoustic music, putting on approval the different possibilities and combinations that east means allow him (acusmatic, electronic music mixed, electroacoustic quadraphony, devices with transformation in real time, sensors, etc.), working at the moment in the possibilities of transformation of the sound with the surroundings of programming Max/MSP. Their works have been released in different festivales as the Festival the International from Electroacoustic Music of Madrid "Point of contact", Festival Musikaste de Errenteria, "Nuit Of the Creation" of Bordeaux (France), cycle "New Tendencies in Music Contemporany"/Festival "Vitoria Visual Territory" of Vitoria, cycle of concerts of the cultural center Jovellanos de Gijón, Festival the International of Music Electroacoustic "Ai-Maako" of Chile, Encontres de Compositors of Mallorca, Concerts Phonos-Metronom Foundation, Festival the International Klem-Kuraia de Leioa, and in the SINKRO Festival of Vitoria-Gasteiz.

As of year 2004 it comprises of the tour "Silguero/Monterrubio Videosoundproject" next to the saxo Josetxo Silguero Gorriti, like in charge in the sound/visual diffusion of the electroacoustic devices, creating different patch with the Max/Msp program for the development from the concerts. +info: www.josetxosilguero.com

From 2005 he is founding partner and member of the director equipment of the Sinkro Association, ordered to organize, among others, the Festival the International Sinkro de Vitoria-Gasteiz.+info: www.sinkrofestival.com

At the present time it arranges his facet of composer and collaborator with different members and groups in the electroacoustic scope of the direct one, with his educational work in conservatories of dance and music.
